Coyote Kisses dropped their first EP this week. I loved Acid Wolfpack, so I was pretty excited for it. Two original songs (one's Acid Wolfpack) and then a remix of Somebody That I Used to Know. these guys make some awsomely complex music.

Yeah definitely. kyoto is pretty cool. I really dig devil's den but I am Wolfgang-nut-swinger-extraordinaire. All the skirllex hate can go suck my dick. his music is still dope and fun to party to/listen to.

Skrlly's new shit is amazing. As usual, the production is the best there is, the melodies are great, but in my opinion the "drops" or dubstep bass sections or whatever you want to call them, I'm not a big fan. To be honest I only like the "drop" in about 10% of his songs. The more melodic stuff, like Cinema, and the more electro inspired stuff like Reptile and Sick Bubblegum.

Also, how has this song not been posted??

Agreed with both of you. Devil's Den is sick and I openly lol'd the first time I heard 'right on time'. I'm less and less impressed with his drops than with his synth runs and subtleties that prove he's on another level.

Sick remix nate. Do you use mixedinkey for your mixes? I DLed it last night and ran some shit through it. It seems almost impossible to perfectly follow the system if you want to use every song you wish to mix. For instance, I might have a 4A, but not a 5A. But, I do have a 6A. I imagine it's better than nothing to at least try to mix the 4A to a 6A if you dont have a 5A

I love devil's den. The thing that kills Skrillex for me isn't his music, but how often I hear it. Since I'm in this bubble of a college town, everytime any party is playing any sort of electro music, i'm guaranteed to hear every popular Skrillex song at least twice. Bangarang, Kyoto, Scary Monsters, etc. They just get so worn out soon enough. I was listening to a mix the other day and Kyoto was mixed in real nice, got me stoked on that song again.

I def agree his strength is in his more melodic stuff. Like I said before in this thread, With You Friends (Long Drive) is by far my favorite song of his. The synth line and piano in it are so good. And I love how he comes in with the piano line that's the same tune as the chopped up vocals, showing how awesome it actually is.

It is impossible and I was told by a dj-friend early on not to worry about it for the most part. although training with that definitely helpsyou out A LOT. eventually it'll come naturally (more or less)

I dj differently than most though. I like going in with little or no plan. General outline and just winging it. on the fly is theo nly way I can. now I do have playlists to guide me or I get pissed because theres certain songs I never think of in the heat of the moment.

not really in the genre of what normally goes in here, but whatever, crystal castles are fracking awesome and this remix is pretty good. health made this one so dark and eery, i love it. i don't know if i like it as much as the original, but it has a totally different feel (to me) so it's hard to compare.
