i think dubstep will outlast the mashup shit, cuz it was all shit to start, i have now showed tons of people dubstep, and for the most part they liked it. in fact i helped kinda dj a dubstep party at a friends house. best party yet this year.

mashup is gay and no one i know ever liked it. when i let my friends hear dubstep, they luv it. so no it is not a fad. its following is much, much bigger and the style has a longer history than you think. it just took a while to slowly emerge into what it is now and it's sicker than ever

haha how is it childsplay? House music is completely different than dubstep other than that they are both electronic. dubstep will be around for a while, it's been around for 10-12 years people, it's just now getting popular in the states in the last one or two years. Rusko is producing the next Britney Spears album, gay I know, but what does that say about it's mainstream potential?
