Just buy one (it's not that expensive) online or go ghetto and use a block of wood and a large pipe.

Have you checked for one on Ebay? I think there are many who ditched the first gen of those. Anyway, I know it's a bit expensive but collect some cans and plastic milk cartons and in a day, you are on your way to get yourself an Indo Board.

first of all, no, do not use a fiberglass board, it will break

second, all you need is a skate deck without any trucks, and a 2 liter bottle of soda, fill up the 2 liter with water, make sure it's totally full, cap it really tight (you might want to melt the cap on a little bit with a torch, but only melt it lightly) and youve got a little indo board, some people like to wrap the 2 liter with duct tape for some grip, i use a strip or two of duct tape, we used to rock one of these all the time at my friends apartment, it never broke

    Home made Indo:
6" PVC about 18" long (only available at plumbing supply stores, not Home Depot)
Rubber grip tape (the kind you use on wooden stairs)
3/4 or 5/8 piece of wood (shaped as desired - oval- skate board shape-rectangle/ and dependent on your weight)
Add about 2" of another layer of wood (the same that was shaped above) to the bottom front and back ends of the wood plank.
Wrap the PVC with the rubber tape, and Voila!
Instant indo, for 1/3 the price

looks good but thing is i doubt i can buy a 6-8" pipe thats only 18" long. You usually have to buy them at set sizes and those are usually like 5/6/8 feet long.

They usually come in 10' lengths. All you have to do is ask if you can only get a 18" piece. They will usually cut it for you. Tell them you need it for an experiment. If they ask what it is. Say, "It's rocket science".
