high powered laser pointers are dangerous (obviously)

I hate the fact these things are so easy to get from Taiwan, and by people who have no idea how dangerous they are and use them irresponsibly. This kid bought a 150mw laser, happened to bounce it off a mirror and has likely ruined his vision for life. Considering the availability of these things, I imagine it happens too many times even if it's not widely reported.

Someone ruining their own eyes doesn't bother me nearly as much as someone hitting someone else in the face.

I use a 5mw green laser to point at stars and it's plenty bright. Even then, I had someone hit me in the eye with it accidentally after they asked if they could try it. I guess I am the fool. I almost had to choke a bitch.

No, guns (or weapons) are sort of self-regulating. You see, when a bunch of idiots get guns and do stupid things with them, smarter people with guns keep them in check.
