$6/yr for clips that should be free to view =not that great (based on # of people that will sign up). needs more than simple skim clips IMO. that being said I already signed up because the teaser trailer was done extremely well and I am hoping my $ gets me worthwhile media.

Aren't there four quarters in a year? Thought it said quarterly when I signed up. And when DVDs are $30-$40, I see no reason to complain about amazing quality vids like that uploaded all year long for $8/year man...c'mon now. That's the problem in this sport...you want everything for free. If you want skimboarding media to get to a certain level...you have to support the guys that put all the time into it and that's usually always at a loss for them personally. Skimboarders should be supporting these guys since well the industry is not cutting it.

sorry if you feel like you're getting attacked, but the attitude you expressed in that first post is what destroyes us media people.

People need to wake up and stop being ignorant about the media in this sport. Media people are expected to spend thousands of their own dollars on high-end camera and computer equipment, spend tons of hours fine editing photos and video and giving them out to people for free in skimboarding, instead of working jobs that provide money. When we ask for minor compensation, people scoff and ask 'why?!?'

if given a choice between funding my own skim trip to an amazing locale to get footage and photos or getting paid $1000 to go take photos of some dumb event or wedding, while I wanna do one, which do you think I'm going to do? it really starts to burn you out

Not to be a downer or anything becuase the promo video and other videos on the site are well done with amazing skimming, but what's up with all the pixelly jagged looking lines on most of the clips? Is the footage not de-interlaced or what? My copy of The Box was like this too and it just kinda takes away from the overall quality of it.
