I'm just going to do Laguna for spring break. Found a sick 4 person rental house on PCH across from 10th st for less than a g a week. Melaque would be a once in a lifetime trip tho

i went up one day with dtrick and met up with paulo jason and the kids. they seemed to be havin an awesome time. there were great waves all week except the day i went up there so i couldnt take any pictures of the kids skimmin or anything. heres the vid though

i prob cant do it now...only reason i would be able to do the laguna one is cuz i could get cheap tickets and ive looked up tickets to mexico and ttheres no way i could afford it...my parents arent paying for a dime

Glad to hear that there's some interest in the Laguna trip. Due to Jason and my busy schedules, we are currently only planning a Melaque trip in 2011. We received a healthy amount of interest to have a trip down there and Melaque is an unreal destination for skimmers. As a result, we feel that the Melaque trip will be one not to be missed. I've been down there twice and know how much potential that place has. The people are welcoming, the water is warm, and the waves are really fun.

There are all different types of waves down there. You can skim siders, liners, and straight waves. Although Laguna is a must visit location for skimboarders, Melaque is not far behind. If you ask anyone who's been there, they will attest to how sick of a place it is.

There is a small chance that a Laguna trip can occur. If there is significant interest in a Laguna trip, then Jason and I will have to reassess and determine if we can fit a trip later in the year (possibly beginning or end of summer). What this means is, email alleyoopskim@hotmail.com and request a Laguna date if that's what you want. We do our best to accommodate our campers, so don't hesitate to tell us what you think.

I know melaque sounds dope but my parents are the protective type who know mexico for the cartel business and wont be thrilled about mainland mexico. It sucks because thats a trip id kill to do but im going to have to do it on my own dime.

after witnessing the last one in Laguna, I would say that it is absolutely worth it. I would've killed to be able to do that when I was younger, especially if I was from the east coast. People who visit from other states aren't likely to know when and where to skim, and if they do happen upon the right spot at the right time, they aren't likely to get many waves.

Every kid on that trip got to ride near perfect West st. from the primary without any interference. There is a certain respect given to kids on that trip because the locals understand and respect what Paulo and Jason are doing. If you have an opportunity to visit Laguna under their guidance, do it.

yeah, all ive been looking forward to is it for the last few months, like it would be soooo amazing but hearing there might not be one is kinda a buzz kill, haha...i wana skim cali sooooo bad but my parents dont have the money to take me so the adventure is the perfect oppertunity...hopefully there will be one.
btw adam...the box was the best skim vid ive ever seen/owned...just wanted to say that...good job
