the two hours before high tide at carolina or kure beach. try the pier in kb, there will most likely be a good crew of skimmers around there.

wrightsville has it's days, but i mostly skim there because i don't want to drive all the way to cb/kb

I found a spot on Ocean Isle beach just north of the pier where there is a good slope during high tide. The area is only about 20 yards wide but it has some great shore breaks. You really have to watch the beach, I found this spot by luck bc there was no one in that area. you have to watch the shore to find what is good. Look for a channel that area will wash away the sand and create a small area with some slope. I also like Ocean Isle beach during low tide there is a sand bar where there is not a lot of waves and seeing how I am a skimming noob I can work on some of the skills I lack, BFF, FFF, moneky crawl, not falling, etc.

My wife likes Ocean Isle bc it has small shops she can look around in and is not that busy. I went to Wrightsville one time and I could not get away from people you were lucky to get ten feet of space. How doe Kure compare, and how is the parking. Parking at Wrightsville is absurd.

havent been down for a few years, but there used to be a pier right by our house here. this is where i actually started skimming but i think my parents were saying they might be tearing it down if they havent already. down at the southern point, i think its called kings lynn or something, used to be a lot of fun. my dad and bro would always fish there but id have a blast with the board too

hey, i skim wrightsville 3-5 times a week and c-street used to be a pretty consistent spot at high tide, i'm not saying it's not anymore, just due to recent dredging and sand bars changing with swells, the spot is not as consistent at high tide. A couple other WB skimmers and myself have been trying out the alternate spots along the beach. jetty is consistent right before or after high tide, and oceanic pier will break from time to time when winds are W. The best spot recently though, meaning like this week and last after the swell, has been access 35. It's right past the water tower before oceanic. Good slope good wraps.

And for shitts and giggles here's some pics of Wb when it was firing earlier this summer at c-street...
