whats up everybody,

i just wanted to clarify some information on the contest.

1. October 21-Lake Worth pier, lake worth FL
2. registration starts at 7:30, contest starts at 8:30
3. age divisions and there will be a superman contest
4 $25 and $10 extra for the superman divison
5. beach entries are allowed and there is no extra charge
6. product and money prizes including EXILE SKIMBAORDS
7. sponsors include: exile skimboards, billabong, vz, electric, xtrak, quiksilver, sticky bumps and reef.....red bull will be out with free drinks and there is free pizza for all contestants provided by Rotelli's
8. if you need an entry form call Island Water Sports at 561 588 1728 and ask for me (jacob) or just have somebody take down your number and i will fax you an entry, feel free to call me with any questions, i am the director and organizer so i will be the one with the answers

Lake Worth sucks for skim most of the time if there is swell it can be ok but not the first beach I would go check. Is the contest on the south or north side?

they didnt. Its apparently an event put on buy IWS that the sponsors you mentioned were nice enough to support.

benji, lake worth breaks decently. i mean in compared to everywhere in south florida it is generally all the same. if theres skim in south florida, lake worth will be just as good and fun as anywhere else around here

jeff liu, lake worth is just 10 mintues south of west palm beach and the contest is on the south side of the pier

the superman contest will be judged on best variation of a superman, rocket air, christ air, or trick of similarity and yes there will be waves for that because i know plenty of kids who can land them with 1 foot chop

iws is the host of the contest and the companies are the sponsors (support) of the contest. It is at lake worth because this our (as a shop) local beach and the beach patrol there is more understanding to a skim contest rather then lets say.....palm beach.... cause the town of palm beach or manalapan(boyton inlet) would never in a million years allow a contest

i would also like to add..........marcos and the deerfield iws have been very supportive with this contest and deserve reconigiton along with the other sponsors

Who are the judges?

thats what i was going to ask...usually its accepted that men judge jr's and pros judge men...which brings me to my next question...is there a pro division?

there is not a pro division and the judges for mens will be the jr. men and some outside people, the judges for jr. mens will be two people from mens and also some outside people, i'm doing my best to get the best and most fair judges possible.

the main criteria for the superman divison is that the board must be away from your feet and then landed back on......(lets be reasonable here, 5 inches away from your feet does not count)

THE PRIZE FOR THIS DIVISON IS GOING TO $100 CASH!!!!
