Default Help -- MP3 Player Frustration

A few months ago, I bought a 4 GB Sansa Fuze and up until now it's been working great. I plug it into my mac, and it shows up like a flash drive and I simply drag music from itunes onto it.

I just plugged it in and it said I only have about 40 MB of memory left which is kinda weird because I only have 554 songs. I realized I had a lot of songs I don't listen to, so I delete them and now I have 490 songs and the stupid thing still says I have 40 MB of memory left. I downloaded The National's new album and after dragging one song onto my fuze, the memory goes down. WTF.

I deleted that same song I just dragged onto there and the memory stays exactly the same, stuck at 31 MB. I do this a couple more times and my memory refuses to increase and now I'm at 11 MB and when I try dragging more than one song, it just doesn't stay.

Anyone know what the frack is going on

I'm trying to avoid that because I didn't back up any of my old downloads, meaning I'd have to re-download everything I already have

can you take the existing stuff off the fuse, reset it and then put it back on?

Actually, I can move songs off the fuze back onto my itunes, let me see if the memory comes back after doing that

edit: YESS, okay, nothing happens to the memory when I do it but I'm going to move all the songs onto my itunes, delete them off the fuze then reset

frack, every single song is in my itunes right now, I deleted them off my fuze, I reset my fuze using the factory settings and when I plug it in it still says I only have 11.8 MB available
