I live about 5 mins from rocky point and work in the next town over, hit me up if you wanna skim some time
this, i still give fat boy the attention he craves like that raspberry filled donut when the krispy kreme light is on.
not the waves.... but the contest in general... not many kids go to this one. That would leave me to believe it's skimusa's slower but still functionable step child

It's actually the child of the East Coast Surfing Championship, so the skim contest part of it just looks up to Skim USA like the cool uncle who travels the world and drinks microbrew beer and does blow with strippers.
The affiliation between the two is fairly recent, I think like 2 years or something. But you can't beat the beer garden and the giant stage, with bikini contest and live music. Definitely a cool atmosphere that skimboarding isn't always a part of. In years past they have built Giant bowls and ramps on the beach for the skateboarders. If you have the chance to come to the contest it is a good time with a very laid back atmosphere.

Rocky Point is on the north shore of Long Island, which is a sound haha, you need to travel to the south shore to skim.

Yeah it can be alright, its my local spot because its only 15 minutes from where i live and about 20 from rocky point.

im going like two weekends bfore ECSC so i get to go to the contest now !!!! =D
