How far is it from South Jersey to Cape Cod? Cause it seems like a hell of a drive. Hey Noah, you think you and mike george could pick me up from the airport and give me a place to crash??

ive done the drive from south jersey to nauset(cape cod) and it was quite a drive. 6 or 7 hours is my best estimate
it would be cool to have some of the jersey crew show up this year, get a gang together and roll out!

I think you guys would like the event seriously. You all should come up and skim with the locs in this thing. We had a blast last year.

we need to seriously get the RI kids up there too. they make up half of all the new england skimmers.

yeah maybee....when mike comes down him and his other friend dima lushually stay at this hotel at nauset beach, talk to him about cuz it would be cheap to split a room with him and maybee others...but i dont have a car but where mike g lives in lexington is like prob 20 min away from logan...
We are getting some hard work from the locals like Dave. He has secured a local eatery for a movie night/after party. He has the info on that and we will be posting it on the site soon. We have UBB sponsoring the event as well for a huge beach clean up. So come on out and spread the word to see your locs rip the shore break while helping out your local beach by cleaning it up. We hope to get some good media coverage for it as well.
Online sign ups soon as well. Dave if you want to collect entries let me know. You guys can hand them to him with the release form or mail them to me or him. We will post that info up as well.

Well now is time to put full focaus on this event. Broke the attendance record at Tybee and hope to do the same here. You RI guys going to show up this year?
Also I would like to have a place to crash on the Cape instead of getting a hotel. Any takers? But if I have to I have to.
Frank Hastings
You know the web site.
if i had my own house i would let you guys stay in a minut...
yeah im gonna be forced to get a hotel, so anyone coming from boston/worcestor area in MASS hit me up. i will ABSOLUTELY be there and im really trying to get a LOT of practice runs in seeing as waves are a little new for me, BUT SKIMMING ISNT.
DOES anyone know if some places near wellfleet require minimum days for rentals, as in can i get a room for just the night before or will they make me fork up for 3 days..???
and another question :-D.
anyone have a number or someone to get in contact with other than an e-mail, i want to register and get everything straight before i go down, the website doesnt have much info.
they will prob have that stuff up within a week since the comp only a month away
I put up the entry stuff yesterday. So people can now sign up.
But if you need anything else hit me up wroberts@skiminvasion.com

hah i was just going to say, it just popped up for me today when i went to try it, are u redoing the website? cuz a lot on there are dead or empty links and there isnt much information besides it being 25$....
im down to pay but currently the website looks a little sketchy.. hah no offence.
however on the comp page it says $25 if i register now and $25 at the beach, is this true or is it more?
Yeah our shop page is a little shitty but you're going to pay though paypal. So it's 100% safe.
$25 online by July 28/$35 at the beach

sounds good, ill take 2.... and a little question, (cuz this i my first time at comp) is it going to print me a ticket or will my name just be on some list when i get there(im registering my friend too)
You will get a receipt emailed to you by Paypal but you don't need to bring it. When Frank shows up on that Saturday he'll have a spreadsheet with everyone already entered.

hah and now some other questions. just from watching a few comps online..
1. are there any set colors we need to wear, or tell what we are wearing(noticed sometimes they call colors with names)
2. is there anyway i can get/see a scorecard to see what judges rank on(ive looked all over the web and i cant find anything)
and 3. as far as this tourny for the registration it is only for a ticket and no age...is this comp just a skimboarding free for all for all ages, or will the age brackets be set up the day of the tourny.(i know this is an amateur comp.)
thanks in advance for all the info, just want to get all my shit straight before i get down....
1. They give you your rash guard before every heat that designates your color.
2. The format for scoring is in the rules.
3. Yes there are age groups.
Pretty sure it's Child - Jr. Men - Men - Sr. Men. Not sure where Jr. Men starts, but it ends at 17, then men is 18-24, Sr Men 25+.

Live every week...like it's shark week.
sry if its right in front of my face, but i dont see them. where are these rules/formats listed, checked the site and i didnt see anything, and thats cool about the rash guards. do we get to keep them?
EDIT: http://collegeskim.com/about/rules-regulations/ Is this what im looking for? just found it with a little research :-D.... but this has many other qualifications that im sure dont count in this comp.
