I like U.S. bombs, but I still hold a grudge for them bailing last minute on a show. Because they decided to go play some wack ass MTV show called Freakshow!

btw: Duane peters is a bad ass too

as i've gotten older I've started to shift towards more acoustic, lyrical music. I'm 25 right now (I know it doesn't sound old, but when you started smoking at 12, went to your first show at 14 and got drunk at 10, aging tends to accelerate). I listen to a lot of an emerging genre called Riot Folk (see my post earlier with Pat the Bunny and Mischief Brew). Its pretty much punk rock unplugged with some sort of purpose. Maybe I've been duped into liking hippy crystal gripping bullshit, or maybe when I wake up in the mornings I'm just too fracking sore to jump around in a mosh pit, or maybe I just like the idea of an retirement plan. These bands; Mischief Brew, Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains, Tin Tree Factory, and etcetra have had a pretty profound effect on my disposition, and they all come highly recommended. Thanks. D R

Bailed for an MTV freakshow? Wow...that's a new one. Must have been REALLY hard up for cash! I've seen him/them pull so many antics over the years. DP getting so drunk he can't remember the lines to his own songs on two occasions (pretty rad actually). Held up the show for a half hour (later to find out he couldn't find a vein). All kinds of shit like that.

Apparently he's been trying to stay sober but relapses like everyone else. Pretty cool vid if you have a minute. I've never seen him like this. It's odd seeing him sober
