    Question CAR HELP

    Hey you 'tards!

I need help deciding if I should go with this certain wheel/tire package.

    Here are the details;
Advanti T414 17" Hyper Black wheels with Hankook K110 tires
includes mounting, balancing, nuts, valves, installation. $1,160 + tax (CDN)

I drive a 2006 Mazda 3 Black Mica that normally rides on 15 or 16. Got tinted windows, installed a new sound system last year, and now looking for some decent wheels.

I've tried looking up info for Advanti but can't find much. I'm kinda limited by my budget but if these wheels are good then I think it sounds like a decent package. The installation place is pretty reputable too (simplytire.com) so I'm not too sure what to think of this.

If any of you have any experience putting on plus size wheels, let me know. Do you have a more harsh ride? Sensitive turning? Have you had more blown tires with a smaller sidewall?

    Thanks Fags!

have you checked out tire rack? you can view your car w said wheels installed. I blew out one of my kuhmo's today so I am in the market for new tires as well.

never heard of the company. i used to sell wheels.

My advice is going with a off size tire like a 17 is its hard to find a low pro when u blow out. go with an 18.

    that car can fit 20's.

also once you put them on get an alignment or els u will waste your tires very quick

After further research it looks like alot of people buy thoes wheels for there cars. but most of them are lowered.

like i said. ide find an 18 inch wheel the tire is more common incase of blow out. so your not sittin there with a spare rim doughnut or with a flat waitin for a 17 inch tire shipped to you.

and after looking at where i bought my wheels from. thoes wheels your looking at are not made anymore. so chances of you finding a new rim if you ever break or bend the rims your looking at is slim.

    check this website

www.goodroads.net they are basicly the leader in wheels in the usa. i guess your from canada? but you might want to find a wheel on there and check if its your bolt pattern. then you find it online or buy from them.

my choice if i had a mazda 3 would be this wheel

    http://goodroads.net/wheels.php?whee...55&brand_id=47

its cheap good wheel and you can get hyper black.

me personally think a 5 spoke would look kinda goofy on a mazda 3.

but its personal choice i guess. your paying for it.

if ya got any questions ide call goodroads.net they distribute for almost everyone. give yandro a call he can hook ya up with anything ya need. pronounced his name Yawn Dro

Sounds like a reasonable deal. The Hankooks are supposed to be a pretty decent tire, the K110 is the Ventus V12 [?], it's a summer tire, probably good dry and decent wet grip. There are actually some really solid tires by slightly less well known brands like Sumitomo, etc., so you don't have to spend a ton extra to get good performance (especially for a street tire).

Generally speaking, when you go up a wheel size (diameter), you go down on the sidewall height - the goal is to keep the same rolling diameter, especially front-to-rear (where things like ABS can get confused).

A shorter sidewall will result in a stiffer ride and more immediate turn in. I don't know about 17" being any harder to find vs. 18", but I think 18's would be slightly better looking, though a bit more expensive.

Ken does have a point (not the one on his head...) about the availability of a replacement wheel. I don't know much about that brand, but there are some other, more common, inexpensive brands where a replacement (if something totally wrecked a wheel) might be easier to source.

The other thing is wheels take a _huge_ hit in the used market, so I'd definitely check around on a few forums and see what's out there.

Finally, make sure the fitment is correct for your car, i.e., the offset (and backspace). I'd rather roll around on a proper fitting 16" OEM wheel than some jacked up aftermarket setup.
