    Default Dashboard or Jgordon?

So, I've been looking at both dbs, and jgordons, and im still really undecided, so im looking for someone who's actually ridden both boards to give me an honest, unbiased opinion. Hope theres someone out there!

i would definitely agree with Chevreau in that they're heavy as frack. I would go with a J but i've been riding J gordon's my entire skimming career so i've never really given DB's an honest try. Some people like the heavier boards because they're more stable or whatever but they're harder to throw. all i know is that J gordon's got huge pop

Ive ridden both boards and either way you go you will be happy. Its just hard to reccomend which one because db has so many different shapes and sizes and some of them really arent that heavy, but there are others that weigh a ton. try looking at this to get a more detailed view of the boards and their specifications.http://www.tydlemag.com/Catalogue09/index_scalable.html Bottom line though is if you cant make up your mind get a j gordon because the board isnt too specialized and will work for just about any riding you do, where as db has different boards for different styles and preferences.

ive riden both boards, and i like gordons a little more, there both great boards though. jims boards are more flexy and i can get more pop out of em, and i feel like the got nice control. i feel the dashboards are a lil quicker (not by much) on the water n rails, but are heavy and thats what i dislike about em, n i feel wit dashboards it takes more effort to pop where as jims boards feel effortless to pop. but i can get just as much pop wit a dashboard, its all personal preference really when it comes down to it.

I've never ridden a J-Gordon, but I have ridden DB's and Kayotics and I really like the weight in the DB's, it sounds dumb but it gives you a ton more stability for rails and riding in general, maybe a little less control though, never ridden a J-Gordon though so I guess my answer isn't really relevant haha

DB's weight is nothing short of a disadvantage.

    It's obvious he'll like it though. It's a J-Gordon.
