Default Should I bring my board or not?

Well Im going on a cruise from Tampa Florida in the last week of August and we are hitting the Cauman Islands, Bahamas and Mexico I really want to bring my board down but my Dad keeps telling me no because I guess there's a risk of it getting stolen on the train down there and the luggage on the cruise ship. I really want to skim down there though. Any one have any suggestions? Should I just rent a board down there or take my own?

You know if you don't take a skim there will be really good skim. Maybe if you buy a cheap used board your dad would let you take it.

Bring a board or you'll be kicking yourself the whole trip.

Buy one of those skimboard leashes and take it with you everywhere you go.

you dont have to check your board at baggage claim when you get on the boat. you can carry it straight on (thats what ive always done)
