    Default California Dreamin'

I want to move out to California when i get out of school and rent an apartment. I would appreciate any guidance or advice from anyone who lives/has lived in California.

For example, Best cities to live in right after college, cities with the best beaches etc.

    Thank in advance

depends on what kind of job you'll have. California is preatty pricy when it comes to rent...

Best beaches would be in and around Laguna beach...

    Renting
Since renting in Laguna will probably be out of your price range right out of school. U might be able to get something decent priced in Irvine. Its like 15-20 mins drive to the beach

I would definitely play to your strengths. Consider schooling in computer software/design as the job market in that field seems fairly reliable and if that interests you try combining it with Film/editing or in lieu of that. Having a job is probably the most important thing when you get out there because without the cash to stay it's just a futile effort. Also watch How to Make It In America in combination with Entourage aaand you'll be set. Sike (tho those shows are amazing), do not get distracted by the allure that California is depicted as so much so that you lose sight of the necessary goals you need to complete to get there and stay there. In other words work hard and enjoy everything. Also see http://skimonline.net/forum/showthread.php?t=36734 for info on the aforementioned career paths.
