    Default RELEASE DATES: The Thread

    I feel like I'm always the last to know when something is coming out or just released as far as new music, movies, games, box sets, Season premieres, concerts, events & more. For example I just got blindsided by Circa Survives' new album, even though I knew they were touring.

    I have a few news sites that I frequent (Ex. comingsoon.net, theprp.com) but even they miss things or I miss posts. I hoping to avoid this and encapsulate everything into one delicious SOMB thread.

    Here's how this thread is going to work.

    Post something that you are stoked for, that fits into the categories I listed above (or a new one)

    Here's the format

    Category: Music, Movie,Video Game, TV, Concert, etc
    Release Date: 00/00/0000
    Title: Movie Name, Album Name, Tour Name, etc
    Names: Starring, Band/Artist, etc
    Genre: List the proper Genre
    Relations/Recommendations: If a new album is being released, perhaps recommend a previous album for someone to check out
    Additional Detail: Quick Summary or more info

    You do not necessarily have to list or complete all of these items. It will help though. I would suggest copy/paste and fill out what you'd like, to keep format consistency in tact. Also feel free to list multiples in one post, but keep them separate. I will post an example in just a minute.

    Relations/Recommendations: If you've never listened to Deftones, check out Adrenaline for an old school heavy record or White Pony for their first real branch out to being experimental. My favorite song of all time is "Be Quiet & Drive" off their 2nd album Around the Fur. Chino the lead singer has his hands in many side projects. My personal favorite is Team Sleep. Nothing like Deftones and real chill.
    Additional Detail: They actually had a full album written and ready for release about a year ago. Title: EROS. This album was shelved after their bassist Chi was involved in a bad car wreck, which put him in his current state (like a dream/coma you can't wake from).

    Title: Blue Sky Noise
    Names: Circa Survive
    Genre: Experimental/Indie/Prog rock (I call them Dreamcore or Sexcore)
    Relations/Recommendations: They only have 2 other albums. Both are must owns
    Additional Detail: They will be on tour in a month on the solo & then join Coheed & Cambria. I will be at their 4/24 Orlando (Lake Buena Vista) show.

    If anyone else used the lyrics that they do, it would be so horribly cliche, but they pull it off better than anyone. Their guitar work is put together beautifully also.
