You're all about dat sumo.
finally figuring out my squatting. Went from thinking my max was 365-375. Today I repped out 365 for 5 for a huge PR just by changing my technique. Pretty pumped.

been incapacitated for a month with bicep tendinitis. Probably going to be another month until I can start curling tens![]()
Man I had shit wired in last month. I finally got back in that zone where fat was just melting off and I felt invincible. It was all to get in great shape before I went to Disney. I set a goal to run 50 miles in the 5 weeks before the trip, which considering 50 is about the most I've ever run in a year, was setting the bar high ( I only made it to 46 due to limited time towards the end). I also started lifting again, mainly just the big lifts at 5x5, with some tabata kettlebell swings thrown in, and I ended up getting pretty fracking ripped with a solid six pack, while relaxed. Then it all came crashing down at Disney and I've lost my 6 pack, since pretty much all the fat I've put on went right to the midsection.
My goal now is to see what I can accomplish in the next 2 weeks. I'm not one to work out for aesthetics; my goals have always been strength and performance based, but having been so locked and looking so good a month ago and looking like I look now is extremely frustrating, so I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a cosmetic component to my motivation right now. Plus, it's summertime.
aesthetics bro
I finally fixed my squat form. I seem to be getting close with deadlifting but I'm still not perfect. I deadlifted a few days ago, and the next morning I sneezed intensely (like threw my head forward) and threw my back out. It's better but prob a total of 3 days out of the gym. This is the second time I've thrown myself out with a sneeze the morning after deadlifting... something can't be right. I don't want to screw up my back for obvious reasons... but deadlifting is so important and I don't want to stop.
That's weird. I've come close to throwing out my back with a sneeze too. Sometimes it gets to the point where I have to stop everything and power stance when I know sneeze is coming.
Yeah that's odd doog. Did you also strain your vaginal muscles or just your back?
seriously am I sprouting a vag, how does this happen. I skimmed a 4 hour sesh last week, had plenty of falls, back was totally fine. Then every time I deadlift recently I get ruined by a sneeze. whaddafux
i couldnt find a MFW pic skeptical enough to use here.
your avatar works. im seriously not trolling. obviously its not the sneezing that does it, its the deadlifting from the day before. somehow the force of the sneeze just does me in.
<<<mfw I sneezed

Sorry no matches?
I mean don't get me wrong, they're badass. It just kills me when I watch dude after dude fail on them on ninja warrior b/c they don't understand that it's 90% technique.
I know this sounds bro sciency but just go on an ibuprofen regiment for 1-2 weeks at like 1600 mg a day
it should start feeling better after about a week then just start doing really light stuff for 30-50 reps. Especially hammer curls with like 10-15 lbs dbs and avoid anything that hurts its obviously like chinups or whatever else is causing the pain.

Yeah no man trust me I know. It was way past an injury, to the point where pressing a hole punch would need me to ice my arm to avoid excruciating pain. I went to physical therapy though and have been keeping up with my fish oil supplementation to help with inflammation. Im sure that this is all stemming from my shattered wrist injury and not building up tendon strength, and boy was this painful.

^ hahahaha
Got most of the ladder done today
Also I'm trying to add onto/more of this so if anybody has any ideas throw them out.
Probably build out across and throw those on one side and the cliffhanger on the other.
if i were going to do the door knobs, i would leave off the cliff hanger, and vice versa. both are grip strength (although one is more palm centric while cliffhanger is so demanding of the fingers.)
build the quad steps and ill be impressed. plus, its a lot less construction than cliffhanger.

Haha that crossfit comic...
I respect crossfit for what it's SUPPOSED to be, which is an intense training regimen meant to condition athletes for various sports.
What is has turned into is just the next p90x, insanity, or any number of other workout fads. It's for lazy people who can't self-motivate to workout or diet correctly. They need to be in a gym with 5 "trainers" encouraging them on, to even have something that resembles a tough workout. Otherwise, these people won't break a sweat. Your average crossfitter is the girl who texts on her iphone while thoung thigh-flys on a 20lb setting, or the fat kid who does crossfit once a week, then goes home to wack off and eat ramen.
I am most certainly a crossfit hipster
