Thanks for the info, sweetwater does have one of the better selections in Wrightsville.
If anyone knows any shops in Carolina/Kure that have a big selection that would be good to know since the skim is much more consistent down there

someone come skim topsail island with me, im too broke to keep paying for wrightsville's meters right now.
Berts in cb and 17th st on college road both have the usual beginner-intermediate zap/wavezone boards.

I miss Carolina Beach. That used to be the family summer vacation when I was like, 6. Switched to OIB before I was old enough to know what skimming was. From what I remember, the shore break there was pretty much epic at high tide. Barrels right onto the sand.
All messed up and slightly twisted.

Agreed, i have seen CB have perfectly barreling waves right on shore on occasion. Not many skimmers ride there either its more of a tourist trap.

Obx is July 28-29 and emerald isle is not too bad just have to catch it on the right day and can get crowded.
