Default Will the Tri-Force Proj become an Industry Standard for Skimboard Manufacturers(sp)?

So as I looked through the Vic 2010 catalog I saw not only the new Bigfoot model which has a cool name, but the Triangle Project which, If my understanding is correct, reuses materials in order to reduce their carbon footprint. This is an ingenious marketing plan because everybody is 'going green' now. Do you guys think that soon Exile, Grape, Square and any other board company's will follow suit?

This is in no way a stab at Victoria, or this project. It's great that they are using the scraps and not wasting. Just being silly, and what not. <3

I do recognize that other companies probably do this (I see you down there Peluso), but they don't advertise like vic has.

Look at the boards that are apart of this project. The "scraps" are not going into high end boards, but beginner and inland boards.

Props to Vic for adopting a fully legit way of reducing their carbon footprint, besides the hope that their board will last.

Depending on the rider, a Victoria can last just as long, if not outlast an Exile as well as any board out there.

If you want to "go green" or "reduce your carbon footprint" -- bodysurf.

    Amen.

Seriously, skimboards are made of highly toxic, volatile chemicals, along with synthetic, man made materials that take forever to breakdown. There is no such thing as a green skimboard.

Wait a minute....I made a mistake.....there actually are green skimboards...

still better then doing NOTHING at all. Who cares if what they are doing is insignificant on a "go green" scale? Simple fact is, what they are doing not only saves them money, but also does something to better their carbon foot print. Reguardless if its a small bettering... saving money and helping the earth is pretty effin cool if you ask me.

So quit saying they arent doing anything by not doing everything, at least they are doing something.

PSS: Thanks for calling me a hater. I noticed your a team Vic rider. I like my Vic quite a bit.
You still said, " are they doing this? are they doing that? Oh they arent so they arent green so why even bother?" this thread is about one specific company so i would hope that the company mentioned is the one youre reffering too. This has nothing to do with what you do as a person, congrats to you for doing what ever it is you can to give back. My post was directed at the people (including you) that are sitting there saying oh if every aspect of them trying to minimize their carbon footprint is not done (ie: the bio deisel, what they are boxed in etc.)then its not good enough. Yah the carbon footprint of a Skimboard may not be a lot, but think about how long Vic has been around. This also was never a money saving issue in the first place, but any person can see that in doing this you are saving material therfore saving the need to buy more and inturn saving money. People wanna sit there and say "oh they arent doing everything?!? might as well "scrap" the entire thing". Which i think is not the smartest reaction to them doing this...

Congrats on likeing the VIC, you recognize quality, good for you. No need to act like a little kid about this, as well as there is no need to jump on the band wagon of people saying VICs efforts are not going to cure global warming, so they should stop all together. They are doing the little that they can, no need to hate.... like i said

And as far as me being a Vitoria rider.. Im proud to sit here and correct the stereotpycal ignorance of the majority of the skimboard world when it comes to Victoria and their boards. Me being a prime example, having that biased opinion that Victoria was the low low quality when i lived where i lived....which is Clearwater, Florida. Anyone who lives there knows Vics reputation in that area/the 3-4neighbors up the coast of Pinellas.

No disrespect on my end... not trying to start an argument.
