Lon, you're the guy that told me about using the gray pipe. Is schedule 40 pvc the same stuff?

Schedule 40 refers to the thickness of the pipe wall. Schedule 40 is used since it is strong enough to walk on, but not super thick like 80 and 120. You could go for those too I guess, but it would make it heavier and you wouldn't be able to bend it as easily, also probably more expensive.

    See thickness chart: http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/pv...ons-d_795.html

Schedule 40 is usually grey and used for elecectrical conduit. However, you could get white pvc schedule 40 as well since it is just a thickness name.

Also I heard that the gray pipe (for electrical) is for above ground and the sun doesn't hurt it and make it brittle......like the white pipe.

I found out what the stuff is that is used on snowboard boxes. It is called lexan and is kind of like plexi glass but a little different. I think I might just have to take a risk and try it and see how it works!!

Yeah go for it, it would probably be good for kickers because it bends good.
