Fall Skim at VA Beach?

It was. I wish I'd taken the extra 15 mins to grab my surfboard from my house. Instead I skimmed at the pier. The beach was too flat. I got a couple decent rides, felt good to get back out there.

haha yea i love how after you havent skimmed in a month or so flatness at the pier feels good. dead summer id be like eff this.

btw zeebs dunno if youre free saturday, but it looks like it could be alright if theres a little bump. mid 60s and W winds as of now. even though im sure thatll change come the weekend.

Well Friday may be nice but winds are gonna be picking up starting tomorrow. I went today and it was oka i suppose. Was a bit mixed and bumpy so couldn't get a decent run without getting over some bumps. I look forward to the week but I work.

winds will be picking up some, but as long as they stay offshore it should be straight. as of now im def gonna try to get out for friday morning high tide

came through croatan at first but wasn't much goin on. Went down to the north end around 57th. It was alright with some SW winds but it was still a bit windy. Got pretty bumpy.

I skimmed Saturday/Sunday. It was pretty good. On Sunday a few other skimmers came out also. I was at 57th street.

I skimmed yesterday at 57th. Quite a few of us were out there. But yesterday was a bit a too windy and a lil colder. I went down to Croatan today and it wasn't bad. Still struggled to break but it was nice around 4:30ish but by 5:00, tide started coming in and it was a lil deep to drop. So I left. But not bad, some decent slope too.

Over the weekend 62 didn't look to good. 57th was weht though.

lemme know if you go/whats good. im gonna try to head out and catch the backside of high tide. wish the tides were flipped, would make things easier.

if i miss it early ill probably try to see if i can sneak some rides in before the sun sets.

anyone know any spots with good slope? going out surfing tomorrow and itd be nice to see if anything breaks on shore when the tide goes up.

or i might just go skim saturday when the swell backs off some.

57th has been working. when there are waves. Not many waves lately but add that to your checklist of spots. I have been working in the hotel right on 57... so you can hit me up during the week and i can give you a report. Hopefully it will warm up a bit soon!

nice. do you work tomorrow or saturday? if so, any sort of report as to how its breaking would be sick.

ill only be around for the weekend before i head back to school after spring break, but ill probably be out this weekend. good to hear its breaking, i hit it up a couple weeks ago and it was pretty fun. went out this past weekend and it didnt look good. maybe it was the wind or a weird swell, maybe i got the tide wrong, idk, but the beach looked flat and nothing was reachable.

but, i should be out tomorrow or saturday.

I was at croatan this morning. Not bad.but I went untoward the north end and it was pretty gnarly by high tide. I wish I was off cuz I wanted to skim more. But had to work right when high tide was getting in. But fun session. Good to see u guys out there.
