hahaha i really dont get why youre talking so much shit? but ok. no biggie to me, i could care less what other people think. i dont skim much in the winter, but once spring hits im out everyday its good.

but anyway, all those pics are vb. first two were of sandbridge end of this past summer during bill swell. best day ive ever skimmed in vb. easy chest high wraps on the bigger sets. third is north end summer before last. so many good waves that summer. me and zebra caught that day with some great ground swell and had some huge wraps. last one is the pier from a few years back on new years day or something. sick day.

heres my flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/mike_101/) with the rest of the pics ive taken. not too many or anything, most are summer '08 in north end. temporary pier up there plus some good sand placement made for some sickkkk liners and wraps through the majority of the summer. found anywhere from knee to stomach high lines on a consistent basis. miss that shit.

back up to the mountains tomorrow though, cant wait for may. but im trying to pump out some good photos on a regular basis this summer.

I was going to hurry up and get me a board before spring wraps around but I'm not as much out in the water, with the cold weather. Even with the with suit and booties, it's still a bit too cold for me. But yes, I do plan on getting a new board. I didn't wanna buy one now and go broke, ya know? So I'm just working, schoolin, rackin up money so when time comes, I can just buy my board. Maybe a Vic Ultra Vac. I don't know, we'll see.

Katoosh, consider it trial and error. Kind of an expensive trial and error experience. But I bought this board with the best intentions of it being my main board to use. The shape, the design, etc, it was different from the conventional. Although, I did notice that it was a bid broader than the way I had expected it to be. Had a lot float which was great. Again, a lil onger, blunt nose, wider. Overall, it was a dope board to use and experiment with, to the least; with the short time I had it for. But since it's LONG gone now, I'll take the opp. to try out another board. A board that I WILL NOT lose agian.

vbskimer, haha oh man. Am I missing something? If I Compared my Zap Large Wedge to a Victoria Ultra Vac in that same sense, I should have stay home LOL. My options remain open. Merely, it's what I got the budget for. Way I see it, it's more about the person who rides it, that makes it a difference. But again, just thinking out loud here.

Reyes, lol oka. Again, it's a budget issue. But if you guys can convince me otherwise, I'm all ears.

Just start a thread asking about the benifits of the poly over the ultra. Spend the extra hundred or so and never look back.

back to new board talk...i dont know what your budget is but Slotstik has the 300 and 330 series (300=$300 and 330=$330). dont remember what the 300 is made of but the 330 is eglass. 300 flexes a lot and the 330 is stiffer cause of the eglass. i know slot makes sick boards, i started out with a slot vac (330 is the new "model" for the Slot Vac). theyre a little narrower through the nose and just overall smaller so if you like bigger boards you might wanna size up if you get one.

so if you want something cheaper than the poly but still good board 330 is worth a look.

or vic has the plane wrap which is just a little over $300.

yeah I had looked into Slottys sometime ago. I hear alot of good stuff about em. I'm up for whatever, as long as it's a board that I know i'm gonna ride comfortably on, I'm str8 with it. Well, after state & income taxes, I may be able to spend around $400 the most. Btw, I think I meant to say Victoria's Plane Wrap but I must've misguided the board choice. haha my mistake. But yeah, I'll look into both. thanks for the tips. It's been feeling like the beginning of Spring lately..hmmm

Was down by the pier today around 3:00. Alot of surfers out. It was great to be out today. Not as cold as it was the past week. The tide started to pull in around 4:30 and by that time, I just called it a day. Overall, B- for today's Skim. =)

Yea I was riding my wedge. I really want a better board. LOL. I could still hit a few with it, but it's a wedge. Not saying I'll become spectacular once I get a better one, but the ride would be more improved. It was like 61 today. Alot of surfers were out. This one guy was skimming with me a little bit. By the looks of it, he had an older Zap Pro. It was all black and had X-trax pads..At least, I think it was a Zap pro. It was all black. But, he looked more like an older gentlemen. I didn't catch his name but it was cool seeing someone out skimmin'. Guys need to come out man, while the air temperature is still a lil warm. I'm always by the Pier. Last resort, 48th. But I'm always at the pier.
