    There are so many options out there to pick from. It should not be too much of a problem to pick from one of them. You could research anything man. The best thing to do is to start with an idea that interests you.

    101 right? Fun class. I majored in it.

    Some good 101 paper ideas;
    How Jim Crowe racism has affected today's society.

    Maybe try and BS about what a society without ethnocentrism would be like, (or even try and prove one exists, some teachers love that shit)

    You can always dissect social norms, where certain ones came from, and how ridiculous some are.

    What did you guys study in the last chapter?
    You're out of your element Donnie

    A few ideas that would be interesting:

    Art: Why, evolutionarily speaking, do we have or care about art? (or aesthetics in general)

    Social problems: you could study suicide bombings. (what it takes, if/how moderate Muslims enable radicals, etc)

    Music: why different kinds of music suit different age groups and different parts of the country. (when I come back to the mid-west, alternative music is no where near the top, but on each coast they are)

    A topic I have recently been interested in is hypersensitivity, from an evolutionary standpoint. Our ancestors liked the taste of sweets because fruits ( w/ fructose) are a healthy source of quick energy and antioxidants. People that ate more lived longer, and lived healthier. Today we have taken the "fructose" (sugar) and singled it out into candies and sweets that were not meant (via evolution) to really be that way. Sex/orgasms + condoms are another example of this.

    I like those topics, have you done any work on them?

    Nah no work yet, I'm out of school until January so I'm researching here and there on it (it gets clouded with my other research interests) because I know I'll make it fit into some paper, somewhere.

    On your subject: I'm still not sure how I feel about monogamy/marriage or sexual relationships. Those topics haven't gone though my "years of analyzing and scrutiny" like some others have.
