ARRON - split up the boards maybe

arron... im in a pissy mood right now, so i figured id start some shit.

i think you should make a discussion forum for people who know how to skim, and a sepereate one for people who are learning to skim because i really think there are entirely too many pics and discussions by kooks and its embarresing to the sport considering skimonline is number 1. so i think it would be sick if you seperated it because less than knee high trouphy flying arms poopstance skim pics are really annoying, especially when something is written next to it like "me doing a sick wrap to barrel". And discussions about one stepping, shuvits and is my spray big, are kind of annoying and lame.

people learning to skim EXAMPLE. people still struggling with getting on their boards and wondering if they did a proper wrap or air or shuvit and claming gay stuff. and you know what i mean. basically if you are still asking questions on how to get on the board, do a proper wrap shuvit etc, think you are as good as paulo and shit, posting clips of horrible skimming or pics of almost making a wave or getting barreled in a 2 foot trouph being serious, you are learning.

people who can skim EXAMPLE. looking like they are comfortable enough on their board to have control when needed, and doing tricks that when people see pics or vid are like "hey that's alright, or sick or whatever"... people who understand they are not as good as paulo, can get on their board 98 percent of the time, and think that trouph is not fun to ride - have enough knowledge to be on an experienced message board.

I understand people have to learn sometimes. And everybody looks reatred at one point, but the message boards are really gay sometimes and skimonline.com is not. Im sure if this sugestion is taken somewhat serioulsy there can be some rules, most likely set by the people on the forum at times when someone puts up a stupid picture and people have to be nice, but instead now will be like - hey i think that belongs on the learning message boards.

I dont know and dont really care all that much what happens. just a thouhgt. I think it would be cool.

And if anyone gets mad at me for this. oh well. i dont give a shit and im sorry if that makes you mad. I don't enjoy hearing input from people like peter. ps. if you know who peter was than you should automatically qualify for an experienced skimmer.

peoples pics never piss me off that much...just the LACK of pictures...especially when dumbasses say shit like a shark tooth got lodged in the board...or 20 foot sprays off a puddle......different story when it comes to board questions...cept for the dudes asking about strengths of different glass and foam thickness's...thats legit...all the other kooks asking whether they should invest in the foamie flower pattern or green board....that kinda shit is aggrivating...as for the trick questions and the numerous ways that you can get on a board....thats why theres skimonline.com that answers 90% of all the questions...but hey thats just me.....theres no way you can contain all the tards

i myself am also agrevated by all the flat land skim, it is not interesting to me and unless for some reason i have to do it, it never will be. there is really no chance of two boards because how many ppl are going to agree they are dinkins and should not be on an "experienced forum" i feel as though the only reason i read and post is to give my input on a subject (helpfull or not), becuase it certainly is not to learn. the only way that can be done is to get your ass to a beach with some breaks..

I bet the flat landers don't care about the "sweet new swells" or the "look at this big hurricane" threads. But that doesn't mean that they shouldn't be on the message boards. If you don't like the flat land threads don't read them...

I'm exactly the same way. I ride at the same beach everyday. If the waves are good then I ride waves; if they suck then I ride flat land. My comment was more trying to prove a point that not everyone will be interested in the same things on the message board. But just because something doesn't interest you doesn't mean that you are "aggrevated" by it. By saying that something aggrevates you simply because you lack an interest in it is incredibly closed minded. If people continue to be closed minded about the different styles of skimboarding, and fail to recognise them (as in being "aggrevated" by flat land posts), the sport will never grow into anything more than it is now.

actually its a personal opinion on your own part because i dont see how you not likeing flat land makes it a fact if it doesnt interest you shut the frack up when the people label the topics for thier thread it doesnt take a frackin genious to figure out which are flat land

here are 2 flat landers that i kno so watch out if they have a topic dont click it if ur not interested

Aaron and I have discussed the segregation of inland and flatland skimboarding, but as for now, it remains the same viewpoint of segregating beginners from experienced riders;

The skimboarding discussion falls into the realm of any and all skimboarding. With this in mind, that leaves the possibilities of discussions endless - as long as it relates to skimboarding in some manner. The reason for the offtopic section for any threads which do not pertain to skimming, selling stuff, or discussion of skimonline.

I don't feel the need to seperate the definitions of what people feel are beginners, experts, intermediates, ocean, or inland skimmers; but Aaron will voice his opinion eventually.

The only segregation regarding the skimboarding discussion was a potential regional section(s).

Im sorry guys, but this message board helps out all those "kooks". They are the ones who need the message board. They help the industry grow. And many of them will grow to be very good. If you dont like a thread, dont read it. The beginners ask the experienced questions and i think we should at least have the curtisy(sp?) to be happy to help them out, and give skimboarding a good name, unlike surfing...

....Unless they are ass holes, then they should get farted on.

Well, usually opinion is one person's viewpoints.

Fact is usually stemming from history that has occurred, or a scientifically proven theory.

a piece of information about circumstances that exist or events that have occurred; "first you must collect all the facts of the case"
a statement or assertion of verified information about something that is the case or has happened; "he supported his argument with an impressive array of facts"
an event known to have happened or something known to have existed; "your fears have no basis in fact"; "how much of the story is fact and how much fiction is hard to tell"
a concept whose truth can be proved; "scientific hypotheses are not facts"

So, it is fact that your opinion is you don't like flatland skimboarding. But they weren't disputing that fact - they were disputing your opinion of the matter.

Throwing the word fact after or before the word opinion doesn't usually work out too well...

Anyways, that's not even what's important and I've already given the "fact" of why it's not segregated.

i read barely anything of this thread. i think that seperating would be a good thing. but only experieence and newbies. none of this flatland segregation. it is just as much skimboarding as waveriding is.
