Yup, its sure worth it. I only took a few and wish I took more. Figure every credit hour in college costs about $130 and most classes are worth 3 credit hours. If you place out of 3 classes you basically just saved yourself $1300 or so. $1300 isnt a lot of money in relation to a job or something like that. But figure by taking an honors class, you make nothing, taking an AP class you make about $400.

It's just something to think about.
Don't bro me if you don't know me.

It's worth it if you either get an a, b , or pass the ap test. For me it was semi worth it because i got a b but miserably failed the ap test getting a 1 in ap biology

just make sure u do really well on the AP tests cuz thats what really matters in the long run.... just taking the classes will help get you into the schools you want... and if ur school accepts the AP credit (my school didnt, so never go to Florida Tech) you will be much happier taking less classes/advanced classes

If you don't pass the AP test you make nothing as far as money goes because you don't get the credit for the class.

I'm taking AP Calc AB, AP English language, AP Spanish Language, and AP US history and I still manage to have some time after school. If you are semi intelligent and can manage your time a little bit, you should be fine. OP, one class, you are complaining? It is only benefitting you in the long run like LAX said. Even if you dont pass the test, you will go into college with a lot of background in the class you didn't pass the test in, making it easier there. Its a win win situation.

^^ Haha word. I take all standard classes in a private school (gone to private all my life), but all the kids I hang out with that are in public school AP's are retarded. My neighbor is on the Florida school board and she told me if I transferred from private, where I make A, B, C's with standards, I would be put in ALL AP's at a public school and be able to make it into a hard state school like UF easy. Public school is a whole different game than private.

Haha "I" pay the same amount for my high school as you do. I just attend a school with nice facilities, smaller classes, and strong ties to reputable colleges...FOR FREE

So basically you are saying that a public school kid that makes a 5 on the exam is a hell of a lot more intelligent than you because he can do so while having bad facilities and bigger classes?
For free? Your parents are dishing out over 1k for school each year. See you at UF, I'll have that $10,000 you spent getting here and put it towards something useful.

I'm not questioning a certain person's intelligence at all. I was referring to the environment. The money, 72k, my parents choose to spend on my education is their choice, not mine. Obviously, THEY believe the money is going to put me in more advantageous opportunities.

I plan to return and live where I am currently at (Jacksonville Beaches). When I come back and apply or am looking for a job, they will notice a more reputable school who has produced very successful people. It makes all the difference where I live between the one big public school and two very reputable priv. schools.

if you are paying 72k to have an advantage of getting a job in your home town, not sure what to say to you. You will most likely end up not living your life where you do now, and going to a private high school will mean nothing to future employees out of the area you are in now. It is college that makes a difference. Also, 72k, jesus christ.

I believe it makes a difference in your area, but if you live anywhere else the rest of your life which is more than likely what is going to happen, it is a waste if you get into the same college as others. /argument

Haha I need russian and fuji to vouch me.

A vast amount of our city is run by alumni from Episcopal and Bolles (another, probably more, reputable private school). Doctors, lawyers, real estate, insurance, everything. Our school has such strong ties the businesses around here that it makes a difference.

72k for ALL 4 years, don't get that mixed up with per year. That'd be retarded. I know Gulliver Prep in Miami is around 30k a year though...

I take AP Language & Composition, AP US History, and AP Psychology. I'm bad at managing my time, and I'm on somb and not doing apush homework, but overall the classes aren't terrible.

But seriously, I'm wondering as to why you're even taking AP if you're questioning whether it's worth it or not in the long run. Of course it's worth it, like Ammy said, it's a win win situation.
Plus, it may be a school rule, but we're not allowed to drop AP classes once you're taking them so.... good luck with that.

so worth it in retrospect not worth it while your taking the class.

Maybe private schools are good in FL but where I live alot of the private school kids are dumb as.
i found a bag in my sisters room and raped it. the candy not my sister.
