Brad Domke's pro model rocker questions !

Srry to bring this up,guys,it's just cause i've got kinda specific questions about this rocker and i'd appreciate if you answer them.
Does BD pro model's rocker perform good both in east coast and west coast conditions ?
(I mean both in not very good and in perfect conditions)
If it does in west coast conditions,how hard is it to get used to it coming from a common exile rocker ?

hank at exile told me it is very hard to get used to and hard to ride in general. he said only to ride it if you are a very advanced skimmer. being as ive never seen u skim or any thing i have no idea if it is good for you but this is some information that he gave to me. it is also the most towned down of all the exile rockers. here are measurements:
domke 2"
paulo 2 1/8"
hybrid 2 1/4"
traditional 2 1/2"

I tried one out the other day and it was very fast. I didnt seem to have any trouble with it but the conditions werent any good, just small little liners

feels like you have to lean back a lot more when you're in the pocket imo. kind of like the way brad rides

i saw him in the wedge(monster waves) and taiwan(almost flat) killing it....
so i think its a overall board!

Because seeing a professional skimmer riding a board that was custom made for his riding style translates directly to how it will perform for this guy.

In general the lower the rocker the faster the board. But having that low rocker makes transitions and locking in to the wave face harder. I'd say that unless you ride waves that aren't that steep, or ride with the same kind of style that Domke uses (leaned back, more weight on your back foot), you'd be better suited to get the normal rocker.

Are you sure those dimensions are correct? I thought the traditional had the least amout of rocker.

yeah the traditional should be the least or 2nd least forsure.
i just got the domke and i like it alot but its all been on knee high florida summer waves.im interested to see how it will do in bigger waves.and im not the MOST ADVANCED RIDER yet.

it shouldnt be hard to get used to, because a vic poly and all the vic pro models are 2" and lower.

its just that the domke rocker starts up further to the nose. EX: (correct me if im wrong) the hybrid rocker starts about 16" from the nose, and the domke rocker would start about 12" from the nose.

Potatoes, we appreciate your information you are giving out, but in this case your rocker info is not correct. For technical information on boards people should contact the company.

Pro model boards are not designed to be easy to use for the average rider. They are made to maximize the performance for the pro, which may or may not help your riding. It is highly recomended you try one before you buy one.

Rocker is not the same for all boards so when you compare rocker make sure you are comparing same sizes.

Ricardo...the traditional rocker actually has more nose rocker than the hybrid or pro models, but then gets completely flat through the rest of the board

Potatoes63 is right that the rocker will start closer to the nose, but there is also less rocker in the nose as well...not all that much but a little..

The most noticable thing about the domke rocker is that you are going to have a harder time making sand to water transitions especially when the beach is steeper. It should be faster especially when side slipping, but could also catch an edge a little easier. Overall probably a little more difficult to ride for the average/below average rider, but everyones different and there are plenty of people that really like it...including Domke
