i joke, but funny thing is, this is the kinda stuff that can make skimboarding on a certain beach illegal. especially if it's a beach where most of the people who live there are old, like belleair beach in fl, which in turn, tried to get skimboarding on the beach illegal. didn't work, but i still cringe everytime some punk kid tries to be cool and spray a person on purpose. all it takes is one board to the head. nonetheless, sick 36 shuv. (and yes, i know the louie guy wasn't trying to hit the kid on purpose)

Its true the parents will let there kids climb all over our rails at discovery all the time like there freaking jungle gym or something. When Mike skims out there hes always looking out for kids. That little kid just came out of nowhere. The arents should have kept the little chodes out of the only 100 feet of skimable beach at discovery. Theres only there whole rest of thebeach for the kids to play.

For the record I think the video is funny and always hate when kids are allowed to play in front or near the "skim zone." Having said that, I doubt that kid came out of nowhere... It looks like his brother is sitting ten feet away playing in the water. Maybe he wasn't in the spot that he got hit, but kids can't move very fast compared to teenagers and adults so he was obviously already moving there before the skimmer started his ride. Either way I have watched it about ten times and loled all but one when I randomly felt bad for the kid

hahahahahahhahahahahahah. no ocean rider has ever been at a crowded beach and ran into a kid .. NEVER .. i dont like this video but it happens. we only ask for a small section of HUGE river ways and people feel the need to drop thier kids off in the one spot we try and use..

if they rangers actually saw this happen, they'd go up to the mother's kid and take her to jail for child endangerment. literally. For one, all kids 12 yrs (or 65 lbs.) are required to wear a life vest (provided free at the beach) when they're near the shoreline or in the water. That kid is obviously under 12. Also, the rangers support us skimming and realize there are only a few spots in Sacramento that are skimmable. I'm not saying it's "cool" that the kid got hit. I'm also not saying it's Mike's fault. It's the white trash parent's fault.

If you bring your <10 yr old child to a crowded area near a big body of water, you watch them like a hawk and keep them out of harm's way. Period.
