There is no way that Steve could have pulled the barb out himself. There was a study done in the Vietnam war where our country captured an enemy soldier and stabbed a poisionous stingray barb through his heart. There are one of two things that can happen when you are stabbed through the heart. 1) Takes 2 seconds to bleed to death. 2) Die instantly. Obviously, the cameraman did it.
