    Default Frontside Line Help

Hey guys I don't know if you remember my other thread but I got some videos of some of my frontside lines. Or what I consider frontside lines...

Check these out its some rides from today, tell me any tips I could do to make the lines funner/longer.

The last clip is the closest thing I've ever had to getting barreled after a line btw.

1 and 2 looked good.... not too much more of a ride you can get off such a weak wave. Don't bend at the waist so much though. Really awesome to see how much you're improving nick

Try droppin in that wet sand versus the water drop if you can. And you drop backfoot so it helps, but I'd try to have my back foot a little farther back on the pad (which is always hard for me to do frontside).

Also, those are pretty small lines, you can't expect much out of them as far as long rides go. Your ride depends more on your speed from running and drop because those waves aren't carrying you, just slowing down how fast you lose momentum. You could also try pumping but I don't even know if that would help on those small of waves.

Yeah, I can't really catch bigger waves since you have to get to them with more speed. But I'll work on it I'm getting better pretty fast all a sudden.

You aren't running fast enough to do anything on those lines, they have literally no push.

Your back foot is your board control problem. Watching videos is a good way to troubleshoot your skimming. I learned alot from watching Bill skim. You may also want to experiment with your drop, you may be able to step on the board more accurately by dropping the board from the rail and tail, instead of rail to rail. Just experiment and practice, youll find what works for you.

Alright FS turns... This I've been meaning to work on. That's just like pressure with your heal and you start turning to the right? (I'm goofy) And speed runs is just when you like charge at no wave right?

uhhhhhhhhhh. i am gonna disagree with that one.
there is no reason to sand drop on that.......and water drop just means more time running, and you can get a better angle for a "line"...if your gonna call it that.

for liners one of the most important thing is style because they are almost always small. so bending over like a kook makes your waves look a hundred times worse. bend at the knees, not waist. and keep your hands still.

no when you lean forward you create the arm waving because your trying not go out the back of the wave.if you lean beack and angle your board the angle the angle the wave is breaking you will be golden pony boy!

alright see I always thought you had to keep pressure on the inner rail so that you stay on the wave.
