Cant Decide...

Im going to get a new board this week. Im either looking at a Zap Wedge or a Victoria Groment.
Would anyone recomend anything?

how much do you want to spend and what type of skimming (Sand, Wave, Rails) are you doing ?

I have masterd the basics of skiming.
I want a board that i can start learning to ride waves on and im about 100% sure that a zap bullet is not the right one. I have plenty of monry to spend so thats probely not a big deal. But i would rather not go over like ummmm
300$.

what the hell is a Victoria Groment? Go with a Zap Pro if you need a good wave rider for learning.

if uve mastered the basics you want to get a high end board, like a comp, polyvac, provac, exile, it doesnt matter which there all good boards and theres no way your going to break any of them, just go with whatever board has the sickest art. Where in va do you skim?

Well the Wedge is pretty much a beginner board, but youre past that if youve mastered the basics, The Zap Pro will keep you under $300 just barely, but it will, and its a pretty decent board, its what I had before my Exile.

Go with the Pro. My first foam board, and lasted me two full years, and lasted whoever wanted to skim it for like another one. It has just about had it. Got me to where I was OK in spending like $400 on my first good board, and it being worth it. The Zap Pro is a board I would reccomend to anyone in the market for a solid beginning wave-riding board. My two cents.

Anything slot vac, zap pro, vic ultra vac, sol pin, etc. will be good for wave riding. Basically when you start to pay >$200 you will get a good board. There are only minor differences between boards of this high quality. You should take a look at these differences in shape, rocker, thickness, weight, durability, speed, float, maneuverablity, etc. and relate it to your height, weight, abilty, and wave conditons and find a good match. That is what I just did, and got a Vic Poly Vac ML. If money isn't a factor get something good that will last you as you get better and that won't fall apart say $250-$350.

Do you think it will be ok to buy from a surf shop insted of direct from the company?
Because im going to Nags Head tomorrow and was planing to buy it then. Im staying in a hotel and was planing to wax it and apply a traction pad that night and try it out SUnday.

Yeah, itd be fine, I know one of my friends who bought it from a local surf shop, just inspect the board to make sure its fine, and if it is to your liking, buy it, it should be just fine.
