Default Nothin's gonna stop me now!!

Just found out that I can rent a carbon board in Laguna, so I won't have to drag mine cross country and possibly have to pay the $150 one way over sized baggage charge! Schaaweeeheeheeheeet!!

I'm flying Delta. I'm just a little wary of risking it. I've got a Vic XL, so technically it's oversized baggage. It would be sweet to have my own board there. I wasn't charged last year when I went to the Bahamas, but now they're charging for every piece of baggage you bring (except carry on), so it would cost at least as much as renting a board for the day. Yes, Victoria recently started renting boards for daily/weekly use.

how long are you gonna be there? i mean if anything have someone drop you off and wait 20 minutes for you to get through check-in...but i use the kiosk every time and just pay the 15 bucks for my 1st checked bag and then bring that thing up to the counter with a lil confidence and i haven't had a problem.

Yeah, when you say skimboard they will type in surfboard, don't let them do that. Tell them to type in boogie board. Big difference in price.
If that doesn't work......have your ride take it back home...... and just rent one then.

Thanks for the input, guys. I'll probably try checking in w/ the kiosk and try that route. I'll let you know how it goes. Should be pretty sweet either way..
