Zap Internacional Santa Cruz Portugal 09

This year's edition of Zap Internacional in Santa Cruz, Portugal will be held on August 1st and 2nd, we have a money pouch of 5000€ ($6759). Other than the usual stuff, two days of international competition with the best on this side of the ocean and a few from the states. Zap Internacional will be inserted in the biggest beach music festival and watersports festival Santa Cruz Ocean Spirit, www.santacruzoceanspirit.org. This festival will start on July 23rd to August 2nd. In other words, its an event with lots of activities and people from all over the world enjoying Santa Cruz at its best. The Ocean Spirtit festival is the biggest waves festival in Europe... it's a two week festival with lots of concerts at night, and water competitions in the day.

The skimboard contest is the greates of portugall.. iif u want to see the best not only of portuguese but also european skimboard ... this is the contest u want to come.. not to talk on the huge prize money.

I have always wondered why, aren't you american skimmers interested in the skimboarding scene outside the States? Don't you think this would be a nice chance to get to know new skimspots, new cultures and in this exact situation, the biggest watersports festival in the world.

i think that some pro riders have to take a change like tue guys in surf do .. if u pay for 1000 to get to portugal, you can leave with a huge prize money of 1800/2000$ or more, you can payfor the trip and get some money back..

Hugo Santos now has a kind of surf house where you can stay for a low fee.. it would a great time to meet portugal, our waves and great skimmers and friends
