Sup guys, I haven't skimmed in like a year but I'm coming back home next weekend for summer and I'm done to skim in Malibu with some people. I usually skim temescal beach or aliso but I wanna try out some spots in Malibu.

anyone been out lately? Just finished finals so I can finally get my paleass out to the beach
I haven't skimmed in about 2 weeks (due to some stitches i had to get after sessioning esco one perfect sunday morning) so i don't know how the skim around Malibu has been. But i heard from my friend Max that the strip has looked good. I'll be skimming there saturday/sunday morning.

sandstrip was too rocky, esco was a little on the small side but still fun.

this is just one of the small waves that came through sycamore the other day, that place was going off! this is the only picture i have though because some tourist took it and then wanted to email it to me.
just to let you guys know, deer creek and sycamore have been great. sandhill and heavens have been alright. sandstrip is still a no show, mugu is all walls (it might be good later in the week when some swell actually shows up though). and of course esco has been typical esco.

anyone planning on skimming on the 4th? Gonna be packed but high tide is around 11 so I was hoping I could be at the beach before everyone showed up.

its fairly likely I'll be moving to LA sometime in sept. I definitely look forward to sharing some waves with some of you, from this thread malibu looks really fun... and anyways its west coast so better than florida by default. really what I came here to ask if anyone knows of places to live or just has any input at all really as far as where to look... I think this job is going to put me more south near el segundo but im not sure yet. basically I just want to live near decent skim and surf, hopefully for under a grand. feel free to pm me... very much appreciated, thanks. sorry for the lengthy and non-related post.

sycamore has been great this summer, i've been skimming there around every other day. i skimmed there from 3pm-8pm yesterday. it was really fun. great slope, nice sized waves, no dub. when the tide got higher the waves got a lot heavier and bigger too. i'll probly be out friday morning.

A little late with this update, but last Thursday morning Esco was super fun as it tends to be with a morning high tide and 2-3 ft swell.

Yeah and surf reports are not too accurate in regards to wind. Im also worried about the crowds with this heat.
Crowds at Esco? Or just traffic-wise?
edit: Yeah, scratch that. Looots of traffic on the coast.
