    Default Internet problems

lately i've noticed that my internet drops whenever somebody calls to our telephone (landline) and also, if i try to upload video's, pictures or whatever, as soon as the size is bigger than 3-4 mb's my internet just stops working... anybody ever had something like this?
i've called up my provider for several times but they keep telling me they're fixing it and the problem keeps coming back

not that i know, i haven't really had these problems in the past, but since i'm on wireless it's occuring almost weekly.

First, what kind of connection are you on? Dialup? DSL? I'm assuming one of those since calls are affecting you.

You definitely have to use your DSL filters on voice devices.

The second problem I had with an old[er] router firmware. I'd suggest flashing to the latest version.

    They lie!!

Er, ISDN? I haven't seen that in years, umm, it's probably DSL (the async flavor). Still sounds like a router issue - the upload is creating some kind of buffer overrun and it's reseting. I think that also occurs with lots of noise on the phone line for DSL.

Noise can come from bad wiring, cross talk from other lines, even be generated from other devices on the line. Do you have DSL filters? It's a little device that plugs in the phone jack, then your voice device plugs into it.
