Zap Large Wedge or Zap Pro/Vic Ultra if you're willing to spend the money.

If you are just starting out, the victoria ultra vac is probably the best you can get for the amount of money. I learned on it too.

ok, now my question, ultra or poly, is the poly worth the extra money? or does the ultra float good enough already?

more of a durability issue...they are the same shape but the poly is better materials.

no, i started out on wood, then i bought a body glove foam board (because it was only ($60) but i can't reach a lot of waves because the rocker sucks, it's too heavy and it sinks too fast. my friend had the same board, we bought it the same time, but last weekend he bought a zap pro, so i'm looking for a new board also, but i wanna go with victoria.
