im sorry dude but thats BS. it shoots 30 cal rounds. nothing even close to a bb man, it kicks pretty good.

the rifle i was shooting was .22 long rifle standard velocity, i was told it was m1 but after looking it up right now i m seeing it couldnt have been, we typically called em light rifles, after saying that over and over again now i cant even remember what gun it was exactly. i've shot .30 and yeah they do have a decent recoil, those arent like bb guns for sure, haha. but in all seriousness now i cant figure out wtf i was shooting in my gun club which is the epic fail scenario for me...
in any case i threw a 2-7X32 scope on that thing when we werent competing and took out cards, army men, soap, bottles. that thing was honestly no recoil and was loads of fun..haha i feel like a little kid here, you guys are talking about m16, m4 and i m rambling on about my no-recoil .22 rifles

that heat shield is an absolute must with a gun like that jim. i see people all the time shooting 12 guage automatics with no heat shields and then grabbing the barrel after firing off 6 quick shots and burning the piss out of themselves. so funny.

I heard that the benelli is the best shot gun made, anyone else hear this?

My oldest son made that howitzer. The first time we shot it. the damn barrel blew off.....flying backwards about 30'. That's why when we light it......we run!

When we first moved up here, we had to chose between a new house (no land) or a old house (with lots of land). As you can see, we took the old house with land. The way I see it, you can always put a new larger house on the land, but you can't make the land any bigger. Remember that if you want to do what we did.

If you get a house with land, make sure your outside the city limits. Because you can't shoot with in the city limits.

Yup, mine is the 'Entry' version with collapsible stock, and I sprayed it 3 tones of tan. Great fracking gun. Blows doors down very nicely

I was thinking about getting a M4 someday......till I looked up the price. It was $1,650........
I'll just keep my cheap Mossberg for now.

Good thread, I've been meaning to get out my firearms and do a maintenance, maybe some fresh ammo, etc.

I'm assuming the musket is still the prevalent weapon design?

I've probably been through ownership of ~25 different firearms since I used to hang out with a guy who's BIL was a gunsmith. He also took in quite a few trades and we traded with each other all the time. Several I really wish I still owned (especially after reading this thread).

i forgot about my musket. i had an old (repro) enfield when i did civil war reenactments

Yeah, the rod under the barrel is for packing the powder and ball. It's real slow to reload...=(
