My son just got up, he says his is a M4. Which is almost the same but shorter and telescopic stock. He got his at a local gun store. And payed around $900 a few years ago. I sure they cost more now. It's not full auto though. They would cost thousands he says.

My oldest son has one of those, as soon as he gets up, I'll ask him where he got it and how much. In Oregon you can own a full auto, when I lived in Calif I thought no one but the police or army had them.

yeah as far as i know you cant own a m16...unless you have proper license/exemption (at least thats the case in my state). which if you did you wouldn't be buying it online. in any case look up your local gun store on http://www.gunshopfinder.com/ call em up and ask them

All my life I had lived in santa cruz, and there really isn't a place to shoot. So when I moved up to Oregon where we got a house in the country, we went nuts buying guns. Because we can just open our front door if we want and fire away. We have our own shooting range now, so when we get a new gun we can try it right away.

Best Place! budsgunshop.com They have very good prices and the sales people are phenomenal.
You need a class 3 license for an M16. All firearms have to be sent to a local FFL Dealer. You may have to pay about 30 to the local dealer once the firearm gets picked up. Good luck.

(from the what are you doing thread)
after skimcowboy posted this I looked it up, Its the M-14 EBR (enhanced battle rifle) most definitely a better weapon than the m-16. I'm thinking I'm going to have to get one. The only thing I can see that the m-16 has over the M-14 is simplicity in breaking it down, it literally takes about three seconds to take it completely apart.

My M-14 fully loaded weighs 18 pounds, thats somthing to think about, that and it will cost you about 10x more than an AR-15. AR'S are also more economic to shoot. 5.56 is way cheaper than 7.62.

complete truth. getting a class three license really isn't that bad. my buddy got his back in 13 months. he celebrated by buying a m16a, but has since bought an old school thompson and a saw. i'll post pictures later, but i bought a remington youth model express 12 guage, replaced the stock with a pistol grip synthetic stock, added a sight rib, and took the plug out. i painted it beige and brown and grey. it looks sick as hell. it's my "self-defense" gun, and will be until i can legally buy a pistol.

on a side note, my mom bought me a benelli black eagle 12 for christmas .

True, thats why I have both, and an Ingram Uzi, MP5, and a real ruskie AK.

That's not including my 'work' guns either.

I have many guns, but this is the one I keep next to my bed. It's made by Hi-point, and it's a 10 shoot semi auto, 9mm. It never jams. I didn't like the way it felt and looked stock. So a got a after market stock for around $70 and the rifle only cost around $200 new, so that's under $300 for a really good 9mm rifle. The bottom pix is the new stock.

Getting my concealment permit in February.

I really don't have a need to carry a gun on me at all times...but more of having a gun in the center console of my work truck. Working in Petersburg, Virginia can get extremely sketchey. And in Febs and March I will be there for a lot.

Yeah, that's where I carry my pistol. I used to carry it, but it's just to much trouble. I do have a permit to carry by the way.
