Just finished my board artwork.
THE TRACTION HAS BEEN MOVED
this is my first attempt at any sort of artwork on my board. Let me know what you think. I tried to keep the design pretty simple.

dropping bombs = war
dropping skimmers = run, drop, slide
dropping humans out of a plane would be far more demoralizing than bombs.
edit: oh you mean like skimboards? i've always said "skims" to abbreviate skimboards. skimmer is usually the person participating in the sport.

dropping skimmers = picking up a skimboarder and dropping them. the same way youd drop a bomb but much less effective

its not an original quote, i got it from the old maui i inherited
grammatically it doesnt make much sense but, its more or less a tribute to this old board that finally broke

i loved the maui, but the thing is over 15 years old, it just fell apart

I would think that it relates somewhat to the "Bomb hills not countries" from a Sector9 Bomb Hills longboard.

people have told me about the whole sector 9 thing. and im curious who came up with the saying on the bottom of my maui board/ sector 9 first. cause the maui is pretty dam old. but who knows.
AND I AM CURRENTLY MOVING THE TRACTION SO EVERYONE PLEASE STOP TELLING ME.
boards sick. rep'd. i had trouble with paint pens. the paint would just ball on the board and wouldn't stick. did you sand first or just get rid of wax and paint away?

i talked to eric roush first and he said it was a necessity to remove all of the wax, and then sand the board, it the only way the paint will stick. four coats of clear gloss later and it felt pretty friggin durable
