and like the 2nd or 3rd comment was "actually he's the opposite of cool. There's a reason you're not supposed to create wake in Venice, it's because it compromises the foundations of the buildings. Not very cool if you ask me"

I knew it was probably a winch but I didn't take the time to correct the guy (who obviously thought he was behind a boat)

he might have been referring to the wake of the actual boarder from carving and what not.
