You all know about right click "inspect element" in firefox right. Then click 3d view in bottom toolbar, then left click on window contents and drag to rotate in 3d.
I just figured this out like a month ago. It has saved me so much hassle.
Talking about design.. Did something today for this cool new project i'm working on... realistic surfboard icon.
At least... i hope it looks realistic. Except for the water there are no photographic elements in it...

if a woman is crushed by a tree in the forest...what was the forest doing in the kitchen?
click @2x for 800x600px preview.
As mentioned before 100% photoshop layer styles, only made out of 4 layers, traction, board, shadow of the board + ocean ripples and background .

Hey guys...interested in having someone design me a beer logo for my homebrewery. Any idea what something like that would cost? I imagine it has to be sketched, then digitized and colored in photoshop or illustrator or similar program?

Really depends, if it's a fun job i might do it for whatever you offer. Don't know how soon you need it though. For me i'd be great to get a break from all the freaking website layouts i've been making lately. So i'd be down for it.
Jon Howell did some really sick beer bottle design too on his school.. i saw it here: http://dribbble.com/shots/973124-Bush-Beer?list=users

Thanks for the reply. Yea I think I am just ignorant to the amount of time and effort it takes to produce a logo.
Moreover, I think my problem is also that I forgot these people do this for a living...in my mind I am thinking of several of my friends who are into graphic design and helped me with stuff as side projects. My mind says "these guys are playing around in photoshop for fun"....should be cheap! Then I realize they are putting hours and hours of time into it and need something in return.
Anyways...I was quoted $160 and with my mindset freaked out. This was from a company who solely products brewery logos. Their price was way over what I was thinking. My plan is to take my last name (Lokuta) and make a fake brewery called "Barrakuta Brewing" so I can incorporate the logo into bottle labels. Design would have the brewery name and an aggressive looking barracuda.

Yeah my regular rate for a logo is around €500-1500, and i am considered cheap. (then again the dutch are pretty high class in the design market, i have friends that freelance for 180€/hour, and don't even look at stuff below €2000)
Don't let that scare you away though, sounds like a fun job and i'd definitely be interested to talk about it a little more. I think i'd be rad to produce a beer bottle design that could actually get produced. We'd just need to properly discuss direction to see if it's interesting for me to pick this up.![]()

talking about Barracuda's, i designed a powerboat livery about a year and a half ago, the client requested a sporty agressive logo. This was the result... http://dribbble.com/shots/438850-Bar...7-0?list=users
Edit: it's an animated gif. give it some time![]()
Also; quickly searched a photo, this was all i could find for now.
