i was thinking green sweat with hood up, then get some foam board crap or something to make little triangles and glue them to the back of the sweatshirt then make a tail out of something?!!?

Aluminum Foil will help you mold the rugged face/body features, teeth, points, etc. Most importantly, once it's painted (maybe with chameleon color) it could look scaly

Cardboard to construct the head/body of the costume and to maintain the shape. If you want, feel free to cover the body with aluminum foil as well and maybe stuff with pillows.

Tape to hold the cardboard, glue to hold the aluminum foil on

i just dont know if the whole sweats thing will turn out lame. granted im going for funny lame though.

i plan to do all green sweats, cut out spikes out of cardboard or foram or something, paint them blue, glue them on the sweatshirt, make a tail somehow, then just wear my hood up and put some red eyes on it.

for a tail you could make leg holes in a garbage bag then fill it with those packaging popcorn things that spill everywhere when you opn a box towards the back of the bag and then when you have it as full as you want it just tape it tight so the popcorn things are compact. then paint it green.

edit, have the garbage bag like this > so when u make the leg holes you have the rest of the bag to fill for tail

Will cardboard glue to clothes? You might need to use staples or something like that.

Other than that it sounds like the sweats should make it identifiable as a dinosaur.

green tape, cardboard, green hoodie, green paint, green jeans/pants, blue paint (or green if you dont have enought time), Red and black paper for eyes, white paper

make a huge tail that starts somewhere at your back, and tape it with the green tape around your waist. (looks a little weird so thats good!!)
and then maybe put some cardboard on top of a hat or something like that, so you can put some reptar red eyes on there and the funny blue things that are on top of his head. and then put some white paper teeth on the hat

dude this reminds me of the time in college I wanted to go "cheap" so I made my own caterpillar costume (Tiff was a butterfly). For the same price I could have rented a costume and not looked like a fag.
