    Default Ga inland

I live near Atlanta, and I was wondering if anyone knew some good places to go inland skimboarding. I thought there might be some places around Lake Alatoona or Lake Lanier. Maybe Acworth beach? Thanks

I actually just got a job back in GA. Living on Lake Oconee and will be skimming as much as I still can. I've ocean skimmed for 5 years but am a noob at flatland but there are lots of sandy beaches on the lake. Looking forward to it! I'm down to skim anytime, I'm about 1.5 hours outside of atlanta.

I drove to a state park that was about an hour away from me, I think it was called Red top mountain or something, and it was alright, but I'm sure there are better places. I'm definitely down to drive out to oconee sometime to skim. I'm a newbie to flatland too, but I take whatever I can find. How far are you from Athens? (just asking for some perspective, I used to go to UGA so I can kind of judge where you are)
