Ok, this isn't like the Nick thread about banning someone for just being annoying, I think banning daerob would do this site a huge favor. He's nothing but a troll. All he does is go around and picks petty fights with people for no reason at all. All this does is get the thread off topic and then useless because the OP can't even get a proper answer. Just look at Colby's iPod speakers thread:

And there are countless other examples. All of his posts I've seen are nothing but negativity and fight picking. He's a nuisance to the site. All he does is create problems and insult people for no reason at all. He's not funny. He's not witty. He's not a help. Get rid of him.

Looking at that thread I honestly don't see why he should be banned. He made some pretty good points...then, like everything, it just got worse.

nah. he didn't. he just assumed that i wasn't doing things that i actually was. could have just said "hey, here are some models i think might work for you." instead, he just wasteedd posts.

I guess you could say he has good points, but he always takes it too far. He just pesters the issue to push the thread off topic. If you just look through his posts you can see how he just jumps on members for really no reason and rags on them continuously for the most insignificant shit. It's just like how Peluso made that thread earlier in the summer about how Skim Online is getting a rep for being full of rude assholes who jump on people for asking simple questions.

Maybe he doesn't deserve to be permanently banned, but I think something should be done to put him in check.

EDIT: And also back when he completely went off on Live2Skim (or something like that) because he got a similar board to daerob, and apparently that wasn't allowed. He blew that up a few times, and I know it ruined at least one thread.

meh. there are other members who do the same thing. it seems like you and loke are the first people to jump right back on him as well, at least in those two examples.

i'm indifferent to it. i haven't seen anyone report his posts (specifically, not the OPs of the threads) and this is the first i've heard of it. perhaps another mod will feel differently?

I always reply to him in the same way now, except a couple times. I don't generally fight back with intentions of proving any point. If you look, I think I've replied about four times with talking about getting a board exactly like his just because he flipped shit.

But, it's cool. I figured I'd bring it up just because IMO he's doing no good for the sight, but doing plenty of bad. The reason I made the thread was to get opinions since everyone will think differently.

YEa, but ZBR and Frank and the other people like them are pretty much always obviously sarcastic. And they will help people out when it's needed. You don't see either of them trolling legitimate threads jumping down people's throats (well maybe you do, but in a different way).

YEa, but ZBR and Frank and the other people like them are pretty much always obviously sarcastic. And they will help people out when it's needed. You don't see either of them trolling legitimate threads jumping down people's throats (well maybe you do, but in a different way).

Let me go pull up a few old threads that have perfect examples of ZBR, You, and plenty of others NOT giving clueless members any help...i'm not actually going to do it, but i know theres plenty of examples because it's happened to me, especially when i first got started on this site.

And if you take all my "negative" bullshit i've said to people, it's most likely for a reason. A good indication is the first post of the thread (asking what board to get? are you serious? how many of these do we get a month?)

theres obviously plenty of members on here that can see the point of my replies....even if they sound a bit Dbaggish...don't you think theres a reason i'm not banned buddy?
