Don't these guys know there's a new sport that could benefit from them building some crazy skate type stuff on water...

Uh... considering you posted the link, you should know that it was not "flatland" it was in the middle of the ocean. Decent idea but looks like a lot of pain for little reward.

They need to make a special surfboard for that kind of thing. Maybe shorter, firmer and smaller fins. They shouldn't have it in the surf either. Maybe they could have them pulled by a boat or a cable of some sort. Evolution strikes again to make a wake skate.

But on a serious note. I don't see this goin anywhere.

    3 words:

    Concussions, Stitches, and Splints.

Sounds like my kind of adventure...but seriously, I wouldnt waste a surfboard on that. I dont even ride rails with my skimboard.

Fact: Skimboards and Surfboards dont like rails, I just got off the phone with them.

Skimboards feel the same about rails as the girl from the movie Se7en in the LUST scene.

I'm thinking that there is already enough garbage in the water. Why add to it with more metal?????

    Unnatural....

However, it looks like they used some flexible trex deck (plastic/wood composite) for the rail. Looks better than PVC.

actually it wasnt angle iron, it was that really hard perfect skate plastic shit they use for benches. they made so they could skate it too.

Why are people bashing this? It's "crazy" ideas like this that keep sports fresh and new. My question is why didn't any of these pussies try to boardslide that bitch?

Trex is epic win for wakeskate/board rails, its just expensive as hell.
