Default How to sand new Exile to get traction pads to stick?

The board I got is a pro model with a textured deck. I know I need to sand it to get the traction pads to stick. How exactly should I sand it? I did this once a long time ago but don't remember how long I am supposed to sand/what type of sandpaper to use/etc. Just want to make sure I do it right.

    Thanks for your help.

first trace your pads on the board on how you would like them set using a pencil , once you have your out-line you can start sanding , use 80 grit and sand HARD for about 1 - 2 minutes with the palm of your hand .You should be creating a lot of dust. dont be afraid to go outside of your line too you want the area of your pad totally sanded so it will stick . once your done wipe off the dust with a damp towel and apply the pads , if you still see white on the board its ok , once you hit the ocean it will disappear , and make sure to put weight on the pads for 4 hours or so before you hit the water
