hahahaha yea i cant wait to get on my new board. all i know is that its mad big so it must be meant for somebody my size haha. i think its a victoria ultra and it looks like there is a tailpad under my tree. i cant wait
oh mann yer lucky bro idk i had to get brakes for xmas so my beautiful custom carbon square is likely to get postponed for a bit... but i have a birthday before the water gets warm... and the foamie makes me work so hard i cant focus on the cold...so I think I'll manage. but ya if ur up for it ill do a post xmas skim at cups or whatever(jetty 4 has been good and is not as far)
yea mabe. i might be going to killington VT with my friend if he goes for some snowboarding action but if not i might man up and go skimming.

well I'm down for some skim and I would like to see the ultra in action...just need to find a liveable day for air temp. because the water's still 51 degrees and thats not that bad.

dude haha at 56 your feet are pretty much numb in 2 minutes and your need booties, 51 has go to be close to the point where i think your feet might just fall off without booties

haha thanks dude. and yes most temps in the 50s are brutal, but I have booties n gloves so what I worry about in waters like this are my face and my 2/3 springsuited body. but if the skim's good then body heat does the trick... and the weather channel says swell's at shoulder-high!! idk how right that is but ya know its makin me want to skim
i gotta get to a surf shop for some booties and gloves
i hear saturday will be like 45 degrees, im heading to gilgo/overlook area. tomorrow i might go out too.

I never listen to the weather channel, i always use swell info or surfline, but i find swell info is better, its hard because they judge it for surfing, so what sucks for surfing might be mad good for skimming, i've read reports for "flat and poor" and had some of the best days skimming ever
damn man how did you get hooked up with victoria skimboards. you must be amazing
perfect stocking stuffer... and you know you gonna use em...I have the superthick 7mm oneills with the closed toe and theyre great. warm and cozy and actually very comfortable to skim in. highly recommended. also oneills gloves have great dexterity

im just tryin to help him out, a springsuit past thanksgiving is asking for hypothermia.
dude idk about you but i live for reduced heart rates leading to cardiac arrest
u could of said it in a nicer tone. I dont think you'd get hypothermia but you'd prolly be cold as hell
nobody would last longer than a half hour unless they ride every wave back to sand with a springsuit in 40 degree weather and mid 30 degree water
lol its not so bad. concern's much appreciated but I was in without booties earlier this month (~8th-12th) and it was cozy. just gotta get a heavy ass breakfast in you and not stop movin till youre goin home. that said, it will be effing cold no matta what the air temp is with all this frackin snow everywhere. still down though. dont know where gilgo beach is tho.

nah mid- low 40s, i mixed up air temp and watertemp last post

and idk zoos weather channel sez 50 i didnt thermometer the water meself...
gilgo is north of jones and the ocean buoy in cape may nj(most south nj beach) was 38 degrees so its probably around 42 cause they buoy is deep
