yesterday at robert moses flat everywhere with knee high sets every 15 minutes, so we walked a 20 minute walk down the beach to a spot that usually has sick liners (democrat point, from what im told never skimmed there before, yesterday was the first time). so we walked 20 minutes to find ankle high liners that were fun for 10 minutes haha. on the way back out of know where this one little section was spitting out consistant waist high waves, we skimmed it until my bud gashed the bottem of his board. walking back everyother spot completely flat. i dont understand how 50 yards of a beach can get waves an the rest is just shit. welcome to longisland i guess

dont rip on long island, other places have there good and bad days also. demo is legit it was just too small but once a swell comes in it will be so fun. i live here and i love it and anyone who says ny skimboarders are guidos doesnt know me or the kids i skim with.
as small as its been lately its been fun for the most part to just mess around on
haha im not ripping on LI at all, i love the skim here i was just saying, it's so weird how a little spot on a beach can spit some decent stuff out when the rest of the beach is shit. alex opened up a lot of great spots an introduced us to some really chill guys. me an my buds drive the extra 25 mins everyday now to skim with them because its a blast when everyone is together. our scene is breaking through we got plenty of talent/upcoming talent in the scene as well as a bunch of little guys starting to pick up the sport.Originally Posted by alex skim LI.

you really see that same effect in long beach / atlantic beach because of the jettys every block. noticeable difference in waves every 2-3 blocks
it sucks you guys arent closer to us, were kinda stranded out here, but whenever the next skim meetup is ill be sure to get down there with some friends

the opened up a ruehl by me, i was hoping for some good shit but i just got the same shit that hollister has for 20 bucks more, makes sense though that there owned by hollister but w/e
i can proudly say frack that whole company, i worked at the store for 2 years doing visual stuff like lighting placement an all marketing issues shit like that. in june they told me that had new policys , i had to take off all my bracelettes and my necklaces because they werent hollister. next day i go into work everything off go into work, they told me to go home or go by new clothes because i didnt have jeans or blue on so i went home. the next shift at work they told me i couldnt do my visual job, got into a huge fight with my manager and walked out. the whole company is bullshit never shop at any of their stores again. ive been unemployeed since the end of june through now and skim everyday haha

ahahahah, i honestly and proudly say i only wear la coste and american eagle dude, i think hollisters shirts are kinda whack with their colors and shit, i worked construction last summer for a bit but other then that ive been dwelling off that money haha, and ive just skimmed this whole summer so im quite happy =]
then i went to try and find a pair of von zippers (the fultons) everystore that carried von zipper had every pair of zippers except the fultons. i hate the mall

oh hollisters shirts were nice 2 years ago when they had no logos an shit on them now you can't get a shirt without it saying HOLLISTER across the whole shirt. after about a year of working their i stopped wearing their shit, i would just get stuff for work that was it. pacsun has always been my #1 source, now they opened a billabong USA in my mall, ive been going there a lot now. but frack clothes.
