The sandbank is gone again but for a while it was quite fun, although really only like 5-10 times in the month and a half or so it was there. But when it was good it was pretty and fun. Needs sustained se to ese swell to build up and south to ese swell to work well. Current is not bad until you get to like waist-chest deep and then it rips breeehh

haha, its been fun out here occasionally. Cupsogue was fun for a straight month, damn that was good.

some might say it's warm enough to enjoy a particular summer sport...
Last week(i think it was last week) we were at cupsogue point with a smallish to medium east swell and we could see from our side that smiths had a sick sand setup with a point next to the jetty that went out past the rocks. Bent waist high liners around a cove directly from the end of the slope marching right down the beach. looked really fun. Only time, actually, that i was at cupsogue and sure i wanted to be on the other side at smiths. how far is that from the parking lot though, pretty far correct?

You can't walk it, to get to the smitty's side of the inlet you need a jeep, its about 5.5 miles from the parking lot to get to the jetty. So if you've got a truck or somthing and an off road pass you can get to it.
It's been ridiculous warm, I just enjoy winter for its winter sports, not luke warm sloppy freezing cold ocean water ~_~

if you think snowboarding this season sucks, your deff goin to the wrong mountain i allready went 8 times this year and adding 2 more this weekend with stratton and hunter mtn, as for the rest ill take this weather anytime, i cant wait to drive and skim again

Nah, shits on and off frozen shit. Last winter was 10x better, actually had some decent snow, wasnt always shitty ice. if half the mountains just finished opening all their trails and its almost january its a shitty winter.
