If I had a better board, not a foamie would it be easier? wouldnt i have to run as much if i had an exile pro or a better board? im just new to skimboarding
foamie has a thinner foam core making it have less float, and it has substantially less rocker then a higher end board making wraps harder.
Thats being said, longislandskim used my old foamie when his ultra broke and he was able to do some amazing shit on it. Its more about the rider then the board honestly.

Road I was ridiculously good today. Imagine yesterday but no wind, bigger, closer, and better periods. For you that didn't see yesterday imagine that Dominican Republic part in theBOX, it was a lot like that one day where Woody keeps getting shacked on backside wraps. Except it's on Long Island and its me getting shacked instead of Woody.
I tried to get spoh to come down and at least take pictures, but she took a nap instead.

P.s. foamies are great boards to start riding waves with, if you get used to that weight and get your technique down on that thing, your next board will feel like a magic stick

Hello guys I came in to ask you guys some questions about NY skimming.
Have any of you ever tried winch skimming is it possible? I have tried a rope (a person pulling you with a rope) but you can't do more than 5 runs its very hard.
They use these winches for wakeboarding its a cheat 100 dollar motor with a spool.
Do you think this will work with a skimmboard? Since you will not do any deep water starts like on a wake board do you need a powerful engine?
If I build one of these winches will any of you guys wanna try riding it? Like testing it out full speed etc since Im not too good and my skim board is too small for me.
Do you guys think skimboard can work with this setup?
Last question ARE SMALL GASOLINE ENGINES ALLOWED ON THE BEACH IN LONG ISLAND? after life quards are away for example? If not where are they allowed in Long beach?
